Interactive Construction Map Available for State Street Redevelopment Project

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (March 20, 2017) – To help the community navigate the upcoming State Street Redevelopment Project work, an interactive construction map is now available on The map is currently set to show the conditions as of the start of construction on April 1. Once construction is underway, the map will be reviewed weekly and updated as appropriate through the end of November. Each highlighted section of the map can be clicked on to learn more about work duration, scope and travel impacts. 

Also available on is information on access routes to campus and West Lafayette, and the vehicular traffic plan – updated since its preliminary release in December. The vehicular traffic plan highlights major traffic impacts through the end of November. 

The public is invited to attend one of two informational meetings on Thursday, March 23, in which project representatives will walk through the vehicular traffic plan and then be available to answer questions about the project. The first meeting will be held at noon at Purdue University’s Stewart Center in room 206, 128 Memorial Mall. The second meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the West Lafayette Library’s Elm and Walnut Rooms, 208 W. Columbia St.

The community is encouraged to regularly visit throughout the project for up-to-date information.
