WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Nov. 7, 2016) – State Street between Airport Road and U.S. 231 will be closed to traffic Nov. 9-10 as work continues on the Western Gateway Drainage Improvements portion of the State Street Redevelopment Project.
During this timeframe, motorists are urged to follow the official detour using U.S. 231 and Airport Road. Additionally, those who need to access the Purdue University Early Care and Education Center at State Street and Dexter Lane can still do so by approaching from the east.
The work being done is weather dependent, and if inclement weather occurs, the schedule may shift accordingly.
While work is underway, motorists should allow extra time for commutes, watch for informative construction signs and use caution in the area.
